I've been thinking about using Typepad for a while, but finally got the gumption to actually do it.
I work in retail. I love retail. I love everything that it stands for. I'm a big fan of Tom Peters, Seth Godin, Malcolm Gladwell, and the like. My thought process, posts, and ideas are often influenced by Mavericks as well as personal experience. I work in Human Resources for a major retailer. My goal for this blog is to provide a venue to talk about business concepts applied from the trenches of retail store. There are just as many interpersonal transactions in a day as there are monetary. I believe that a retail environment best exemplifies this.
I've searched and searched for a blog that fulfills this niche and I wonder why one doesn't exist. Maybe because retail managers don't blog (or don't have time to). Maybe it's because it's not important. Maybe the world's been waiting on me to start one. Either way, I hope to find out soon.
