I'm drinking the Gen Y Kool-Aid
I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Go Heels! Go to hell Duke!) with a degree in Management and Society. I interned during school, and then joined my company full time as an HR manager upon graduation.
I work in an industry where we deal with real dollars and cents daily. I work in big box retail. Daily, I'm charged with influencing our customers buying habits by driving our brand promise. I love what I do. I'm able to find the lesson and the humor in everyday interactions.
I find great joy in sharing my stories and being able to bring a voice to those Gen Y'rs that didn't join a start-up or their own company. My writing isn't pedantic or extraordinarly deep. It's not "bandwagon" and it doesn't make a lot of generalizations--on the contrary, it's meant to generate conversate. It's based off my experiences and my viewpoint of the world. Because of that, you may disagree at times. I'm okay with that :)
it's me..in my book, that's all that matters!
